Much of the rainforest-clothed Western Ghats are still pristine, eternally mesmerising nature lovers and trekkers. Among the many challenging forest peaks to scale here are Pushpagiri (1,712 m) and Kumaraparvat (1,399 m).

•  Crossing the jungle
  Venue : The jungle that comes on the way to KP summit.
  Time : Saturday 13th dec 2003, between 10AM and 3PM.
  Abstacles : Lack of sunlight (Sun never dared touch the ground here), tuns of leeches, elephants and wild bulls.
  
  
•  Smiling for camera
  Venue : KP summit
  Time : Saturday 13th dec 2003, 4-5PM
  Abstacles : Low visibility due to mist everywhere, visibility might be as low as 1 mt, chattering teeth due to freezing cold which makes smiling an awkward experience.
  
  
•  Walking
  Venue : 12 kms of absolute grass land, all grass nothing but grass, that comes on the way from KP to BattarMane.
  Time : Sunday 14th dec 2004, between 8AM and 12PM
  Abstacles : Lack of water, tiredness, aching of muscles you never thought existed there. Thankfully, no leeches here.
  
  
•  Climbing down off a hill
  Venue : 5km stretch between BattarMane and Kukke.
  Time : Sunday 14th dec 2004, between 1PM and 6PM
  Abstacles : Welcome to the land of leeches again. Slippery path.
